Tamarac at Moon Valley
Revised Parking Rules and Restrictions
For Trailers, Mobile Homes, Campers, RVs,
Work Trailers and Dumpsters
There has been some discussion concerning parking in our community that needs to be documented so that all of the Board and all of the Community know what the rules are. These rules have been approved by the Board and will be part of our Tamarac at Moon Valley Parking/Streets Restrictions.
- Trailers, mobile homes, campers, RVs (all referred to here as RVs) in front of a home. Homeowners who have RVs that they use for travel purposes should inform the Board before bringing their vehicle into the community. This can be done with a simple email to tamaracmoonvalley@gmail.com.
a. They may park the vehicle in front of their home for a period of no longer than 72 hours in any 7-day period including both prior to and after the trip. This period of time is for charging, loading, unloading and cleaning the vehicle.
b. As with all vehicles, these vehicles must be parked with the flow of traffic.
c. All wheels of the vehicle must be on the street not the sidewalks.
d. A minimum of one tall traffic safety cone should be located at the rear of the vehicle on the driver’s side to alert other drivers.
e. Any electrical cords that cross the public sidewalk must be covered with a Board approved cord cover that securely covers the cord and has bright colored reflective tape on it.
f. No RV belonging to visitors of TaMV may be parked on the property at any time.
g. No RV may be occupied while parked on the property except for the purpose of preparing for the trip and cleaning and emptying RV after the trip. Absolutely no overnight occupancy of RVs is permitted at anytime. - Parking work trailers or dumpsters in front of a home overnight. As a home is being remodeled it may become necessary to have a trailer or dumpster in front of the home. These are the recommendations for these being on property.
a. The Board MUST be contacted and approval given prior to any trailers or dumpsters being parked on the property.
b. There will be a reasonable time limit agreed on by the homeowner and the Board prior to any dumpster or trailer being parked at the home.
c. Trailers and dumpsters will only be allowed during the ACTIVE construction period and must be approved by the Board on a case-by-case basis.
d. These trailers may be placed in the driveway during the day when work is being done (such as removing roofing material) but may not be parked there overnight. Dumpsters may not be parked in the driveway. When in the street there should be a tall traffic safety cone behind the trailer or dumpster on the street side to warn drivers on the street.
e. When a trailer or dumpster is on the street it must be in front of the house and not have any part of it on the sidewalk. The trailer or dumpster cannot interfere with any other homeowner.
f. The trailer hitch and wheels must be supported in such a way so as they will not cause damage to the street.
g. The trailer or dumpster may be on site while the work is being done but not for a prolonged time after it is loaded with debris.
