Treasurer. Natalie Carlsen, Vice President and Treasurer, was absent<\/p>\n<p><strong>Call to Order:\u00a0 President <\/strong>Mary Bartlett called the meeting to order at 7 pm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Minutes:\u00a0 <\/strong>Jean Long, Secretary, read the minutes from the March Board Meeting.\u00a0 Bill Gossert moved to accept the minutes with one change (Reserve Funds Worksheet is projected for 30 years not 20.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Old business:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Board Officers: <\/strong>Bill moved that the officers on the Board remain in the same positions as in 2017.\u00a0 Stu seconded and it was approved.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sprinkler System: <\/strong>Sprinkler system is having many breaks and the repairs are taking longer causing areas of the grass to look bad.\u00a0 Joe, Mary and Stu will meet with the landscapers to discuss these issues.\u00a0 Joe is also getting bids for the cost of a new sprinkler system.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Community Yard Sale Banner: <\/strong>The Board approved the purchase of a sign for our fall garage sale.\u00a0 The sign will be placed at the entrance on 7<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0 The cost was $60.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Landscaping Concerns: <\/strong>We are still working with the landscapers to improve the landscaping.\u00a0 There were a number of compliments about the landscaping from homeowners who were at the Spring Picnic, May 5.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sidewalk update: <\/strong>Stu reviewed that there at about 23 slabs that need to be replaced in the community.\u00a0 He has gotten a bid but the company will not be able to get to the job until the fall.\u00a0 Since they did a good job with the slab work before we decided to wait until fall to have these done.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Trees: <\/strong>Stu reported that Broken Limb would be coming out in the next few weeks to trim 30 trees in the community.\u00a0 The cost is $1900.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Parking update: <\/strong>We are still experiencing cars speeding through the community and cars parked improperly around the neighborhood.\u00a0 The Board discussed many ideas of ways to get these situations under control.\u00a0 Most agreed to keep reporting these vehicles and informing the homeowners of the rules they are not following.\u00a0 Legal advice will be considered.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Review Annual Meeting \u2013 plans for 2019 meeting: <\/strong>Many homeowners were at the annual meeting.\u00a0 The atmosphere was positive and the community expressed how they support the Board.\u00a0 Next year we will look into having the meeting indoors due the heat even in April.\u00a0 Coffee and donuts may be served at the meeting.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Review Picnic: <\/strong>There was a good turn out for the Spring Picnic on May 5.\u00a0 We all enjoyed eating hot dogs and many dishes brought by our neighbors.\u00a0 Even the heat did not keep us away.]<\/li>\n<li><strong>Financial Report: <\/strong>Randy discussed the budget for our community.\u00a0 We are in good shape financially and have added $1600 to the budget because of 4 homes have sold.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>New Business<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Painting:\u00a0 <\/strong>Bill got a quote from our painter, Danny.\u00a0 Mary moved that we accept the bid of $2000 to scrape and repaint the fence along 7<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue and the planters at the entrance on Kathleen.\u00a0 Stu seconded and we approved the motion.\u00a0 The cost will be $2000.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pool Cover:<\/strong>\u00a0 Bill of Get R Done has built a shade structure for the pool equipment that will keep it protected from the weather.
