Treasurer;\nDiane Welch, Board Member; Pauly Heller, Board Member.&nbsp; Homeowner Mike Sieckmeyer will join us at\n7:30 to observe.&nbsp; (Stu Smith was absent.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Call\nto Order<\/strong>:&nbsp; Mary\nBartlett called the meeting to order at 7:06.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Minutes:&nbsp; <\/strong>The minutes from the March 13, 2019,\nBoard Meeting were read and approved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Old Business:&nbsp;\n<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Election of Officers<\/strong> was by secret ballot.&nbsp; Jean Long, Secretary counted the ballots and announced the results:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">President Mary Bartlett<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vice President Pauly Heller<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Secretary Jean Long<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Treasurer Stu Smith<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Discussion of Annual Meeting:&nbsp; <\/strong>The cost of renting the room at St. Paul\u2019s was $100.&nbsp; We had an attendance of about 50\nhomeowners.&nbsp; After some discussion we\nagreed that it would be worthwhile to continue to have the Annual Meeting there\nnext year.&nbsp; We recommend that a\nmicrophone be used so that all can hear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Discussion on how the administration position<\/strong>:&nbsp; After\n30 days of Randy coordinating the phone calls and email for TaMV, he admits\nthere are days with many situations to deal with and other days with no\ncorrespondence.&nbsp; He has only had two\nphone calls in which the callers were rude.&nbsp;\nWe will continue this position and review it again next month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cyp<strong>ress Tree Committee:&nbsp; <\/strong>First\nwe want to thank Kathy, Jan, and Kay for quickly looking into the situation\nwith these trees on 7<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue.&nbsp;\nTheir recommendations were that two of the trees could be removed\nbecause they are in poor shape and new trees put in their place.&nbsp; There are also two trees that are close\ntogether on the right side of the entrance.&nbsp;\nThese two trees are two different sizes and they recommended that the\nsmaller one be removed.&nbsp; Stu looked into\nhaving the trees removed and found out it is at least $250 per tree, and then\nwe would have to plant new trees.&nbsp; Stu\nalso looked into topping the trees.&nbsp; After\nsome discussion, the possibility of topping off the seven trees to about 2 feet\nabove the fence top was accepted.&nbsp; This\nwould cost less and would allow the trees to fill out at the bottom.&nbsp; The cost will be around $1500.&nbsp; Mary will inform Stu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Receipt of tenant parking registration:&nbsp; <\/strong>We have 19 rental units in our community and have requested that\nthe HOA have the names of the tenants and the cars that are associated with the\nhome.&nbsp; Only four homeowners have not\ncomplied with the tenant registration.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Landscaping Review:&nbsp; <\/strong>Arroya Verde is our landscaping company. The Board is concerned\nwith the areas of dead grass, untrimmed shrubs and edging issues.&nbsp; We will be meeting with the landscapers and\nwalking the property to see what needs to be done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Parking violation update:&nbsp; <\/strong>Bill Goshert will still be helping us with parking issues.&nbsp; He patrols the neighborhood in the morning\nand the evenings.&nbsp; He notes vehicles that\nare parked on the streets.&nbsp; Cars that are\nparked overnight are noted.&nbsp; If a car is\nnot registered in the community, Bill notes where it is located and if it is\nparking there daily, the car will be tagged.&nbsp;\nAlso, if you park a car on the sidewalk, it will be tagged as soon as\npossible.&nbsp; If you have a car that is\nregistered to your home you may not leave it parked in the same spot for more\nthan 72 hours.&nbsp; Motor homes can only be\nparked in front of your home for a maximum of 72 hours and may not impede\naccess to any home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>New Business<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>School Pick-Up:&nbsp;\n<\/strong>We are still having\nproblems with parents parking in our community to pick up their children from\nMountain Sky Middle School.&nbsp; We will look\nin to hiring a security guard to work on our property during the beginning of\nschool next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Faucet in the park on Kathleen:&nbsp; <\/strong>Randy reported that the faucet on Kathleen was checked by the city\nand did not pass the pressure test.&nbsp; This\ntest is to assure that the water does not back flow back into the pipes.&nbsp; The faucet will be fixed and tested again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Pool Keys:&nbsp;\n<\/strong>Homeowners are issued a\npool key when they purchase their home.&nbsp;\nIf a pool key needs to be replaced the fee for the key is $25.00.&nbsp; Jean Long has access to the pool keys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Financial Report:&nbsp; Randy reviewed the finances for the last two\nmonths.&nbsp; There were some questions about\n$800 listed under pool.&nbsp; Randy will\nreview the report and email the board explaining the $800.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Adjourn: &nbsp;<\/strong>Pauly motioned that the meeting be adjourned and Diane\nseconded.&nbsp; The motion passed and the\nmeeting ended at 8:54.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next Meeting:&nbsp; Meeting, June 12 , 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tamarac at Moon Valley May 8, 2019 Meeting 7:00 Mary\u2019s Home tamaracmoonvalley@gmail.com 602-293-3054 Minutes for May 8, 2019 Board Meeting Attending: &nbsp;Mary Bartlett, HOA President; Jean Long, Secretary; Randy Vinson, Asst.
