Attending: <\/strong>Jean Long, President; Diane Welch, Vice\nPresident; Pauly Heller, Secretary; Stu Smith, Treasurer; Steve deBorgheyi, Member-at-large;\nRandy Vinson, Asst. Treasurer; Randy Pence, Architectural Committee\nCo-chairman; Joy Donnelly, Kathleen Ice, Karen Kukey, Tamarac residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Call to Order: <\/strong>Jean Long\ncalled the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minutes: <\/strong>Stu moved to accept minutes of the September\nBoard Meeting. Diane seconded. Minutes accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Old Business: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Overgrown\nTree at 602 W. Marconi<\/strong>: Joy Donnelly spoke for Mike\nSieckmeyer. They will share cost of periodic trimming of Arizona ash tree. Stu\ndelineated considerations: (1) need to trim around streetlight; (2) need to\nbalance branches so tree doesn\u2019t fall over; (3) tree may die. Broken Limb will\ngive estimate for trimming or cutting down and replacing. Will inform Mike and\nJoy before acting. <\/li>
  2. Painting:<\/strong>\n(1) New paint schedule reflects 10% rise in costs. (2) Stu and Bill Goshert\nhave all stucco and trim paint colors on file. To help homeowners purchase\nTamarac\u2019s unique Sherwin Williams colors for small projects, they will distribute\ncards with correct information for each homeowner and for the Board to keep on\nfile.<\/li>
  3. Resident\nDirectory<\/strong> and cover letter are ready for distribution. Mary Bartlett\u2019s\nprivacy questions have been addressed with no legal opinion sought.<\/li>
  4. Landscaping and Trees:<\/strong> (a) Jane Scoville\nwill talk with Drew about replacing tree, possibly in nearby location; (b) Lot\n65: old ficus needs to be removed; (c) scalping and winter rye planting\nstarted; (d) Lot 94: HOA will have landscaper remove pesky volunteer tree by\nfaucet. Homeowner may remove two bushes and replace with tree at own expense. <\/li>
  5. Other Landscaping\nIssues:<\/strong>\n(a) Landscapers should pay to replace sprinkler heads they damage. (b) Need to\ndiscuss who pays charges for adjusting timers when it is part of scheduled\nwinter lawn changeover. (c) Jean scheduled Nov. 14 volunteer community park cleanup.<\/li>
  6. Parking on Marconi:<\/strong> We manage property,\nnot people. Neighbors should address parking issues with neighbors.<\/li>
  7. MV garage sale and\nneighborhood news:<\/strong> Jean\nwill send out email blast. Pauly will compile information into a graphic form\nfor bulletin boards.<\/li>
  8. Century Link update:<\/strong> Diane started email\nchat about replacing unsightly boxes. Above all, we don\u2019t want them to tear up\nour streets.<\/li>
  9. Block Watch update:<\/strong> New leaders for 4th<\/sup>\nDrive will start in January.<\/li>
  10. Posting Minutes:<\/strong> Stu moved that most\nrecent minutes may be approved by email and posted on bulletin boards and\nwebsite after approval, Steve seconded. Motion passed. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    New Business:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Karen Kukey\u2019s lot at 6th<\/sup> Avenue and Tierra\nhas stepping stones up a slope to front entrance that pose a potential risk of\nfalls. She wants to replace with 3-foot-wide brick walkway and a wrought-iron\nrailing. The Architectural Committee will assess on October 16 at 8 a.m. <\/li>
    2. Financial Report (Randy V): Proposed no monthly rate\nincrease for 2021.<\/li>
    3. Initial discussion of 2021 budget<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
