- CC&R Revision Process – Mary distributed the revised language to Board members. We are to get back to her with comments/changes no later than April 14th. The revised copies will be distributed to homeowners on April 19th, followed by a public meeting (tbd).
- Architectural Committee Update – Kathy Strasser sent a status report for March/April, including revised language for landscaping guidelines.
- Pool Update – Mary reported that the pool is now open for the season – all chairs/tables, etc. are out.
- APS Street Work on 6th Dr. – Stu reported that APS has completed their work and patched the street areas where they worked. Stu reported that he has a bid of $1960 to fully repair the street from the APS box to the north end of 6th Drive (includes cleaning and sealcoating). Mary moved/Stu 2nd to approve and pay for this project and then to send a letter to APS asking for reimbursement. Motion passed unanimously.
- BBQ May 2nd – Ursula said duties have been assigned to Board Members to plan and setup for the picnic. It will start at 11:00 a.m. at the pool (which will be open).Mary has obtained a corn hole game. Judy will make a flyer to post at mailboxes. It was suggested we ban electric scooters and bikes.
- Facebook marketplace for Tamarac/Las Meridas – Sue will look into what is involved in setting up a Facebook page for this – the goal of this project is to allow our two neighborhoods to sell, or give away, items. All residents will be invited to join the FB page and can post their offers.
- Landscaping – Ursula handed out a report stating that only a small number of trees/shrubs on the approved list should be trimmed by hedge trimmers. She also reported that she has put red ribbons on her plants and has a red dot on her driveway which is supposed to indicate to the landscapers that she doesn’t want them to do anything to those plants. However, they ignored these signs. After some discussion it was decided to ask the Raintree representative to attend our next board meeting so we can discuss how to improve this situation. We discussed adding a financial penalty to the contract if the company doesn’t adhere to our policy. Jean will contact the company and arrange for them to attend May’s meeting.
New Business
- Adding members to the board – The board agreed to add two more members to the board to share duties and responsibilities between 7 people rather than 5. Stu moved/Judy 2nd to add Mary Bartlett and Kathy Strasser to the board. Mary will have a 2- year term and Kathy will have a one -year term. Unanimously approved.
- Financial Report – Randy reviewed the March and Year-to-date financials. Everything is on budget.
