Call to Order: Jean Long called meeting to order at 7 p.m.
Minutes: Pauly Heller read August minutes. Stu moved, Diane seconded. Approved.
Old Business:
1. Reviewed issue of unenforceable, nuisance parking in fire lane on Tierra Buena.
Clarified the following policy: A vehicle parked in the common area must be
driven a minimum of once every 7 days in order to not be considered
stored. If a vehicle is left in the same spot in the common area for 30
days, it will be considered abandoned. Abandoned vehicles will be
towed. Pauly moved that we get a legal opinion from Tamarac attorney,
Quinten Cupps. Diane seconded. Passed. Barb Dickerson and Jean will compose
letter.
2. Need for another backup for Bill Durham for handyman duties.
3. Stu will talk to Bill Goshert about pool tile, algae, missing grout.
4. Architectural Report (Randy P): Don’t call Broken Limb for only one tree; do
several at a time. Need to replace existing landscaping features (e.g. trees,
shrubs) with similar vegetation. Randy P. will email Mary about list of areas
needing gravel replenishment.
5. Randy and Jean will co-chair Architectural Committee.
6. Any grass-to-gravel conversion in front yards will be done at homeowner’s
expense (not the HOA).
7. Resident Directory will be printed and hand-delivered to only to residents
participating in directory. To protect residents’ privacy, the directory will not be
published on website or transferred via electronic mail.
8. Block Watch still needs leaders for 6th Drive and 5th Avenue.
9. Food truck reminders for Pork on a Fork and Kona Ice will be posted on
individual home numbers next to garage doors and on mailbox bulletin boards.
New Business:
1. Christmas party plans will be discussed at next board meeting.
2. Financial Report (Randy V).
